The only limits you have are the limits you believe.

Wayne Dyer

In order to overcome limiting beliefs,

we need to know what they truly are.

What are limiting beliefs? Limiting beliefs form because of labels and/or expectations that you’ve picked up along the way..

If what you believe about yourself is not aligned to what you want to accomplish in life, you’ll always have a gap:

you’ll always feel stuck,

feel restless, and

worst of all – incapable or worthless.

All beliefs exist for a reason – they serve to protect you from pain.

Without exception, this is the singular reason they persist.

However, when beliefs begin to hold you back, they’re no longer useful. You get to make the decision whether you want to keep them – but first, you have to identify them.

Once you know what limiting beliefs are and how they have tremendous power to influence your life, you can begin to identify your own. There are 2 categories:

  1. I’m not good enough.
  2. I don’t deserve it.

How to identify your limiting beliefs? They’re usually hidden in the following ways:

  • Excuses
  • Perfectionism
  • Mind-chatter
  • Patterns where you’re stuck
  • Excessive worries
  • Procrastination

Figure out how much of your day and week you spend in any of the above.

In the following post, we’ll discuss strategies to break out from your rut and let go of beliefs that no longer serve you.

Live with intention. Lead with inspiration.
